Gramado leads ranking of honeymoon destinations in Brazil

A study conducted by the iCasei platform reinforces the destination’s leading role as a benchmark for romantic experiences

Gramado was named the top national destination for honeymooning couples in 2026, according to a study by the platform iCasei, a leader in wedding websites and registries in Latin America. The report reinforces the city’s prominence as a benchmark for romantic experiences, highlighting its climate and intimate offerings, highly valued by couples seeking special moments together.

According to the study, the honeymoon remains one of the most symbolic trips for couples, representing the beginning of life together. In this context, Gramado remains at the top of national preferences by offering a unique combination of charming architecture, sophisticated gastronomy, and sensory experiences that can be enjoyed year-round, with special emphasis on winter, the season with the strongest romantic appeal.

This recognition is aligned with the work carried out by the Gramado Tourism Department, which considers the Wedding segment — encompassing weddings, honeymoons, and romantic celebrations — as one of its strategic fronts for promoting the destination. “Gramado is already nationally recognized as a romantic destination, and this study reinforces exactly that: we are the choice of many couples to celebrate unique moments. The Wedding segment is a priority within our tourism promotion strategy, as it drives the entire tourism chain and highlights personalized experiences, which are one of our key differentiators,” said Gramado’s Tourism Secretary, Ricardo Bertolucci.

EXPERIENCES AND QUALIFIED INFRASTRUCTURE

The iCasei study also points out that, beyond romance, couples are seeking destinations that offer comfort, solid infrastructure, and memorable experiences—factors that place Gramado in a leading position among Brazilian destinations. Among the national destinations listed are also beach and nature options, such as Fernando de Noronha and Maragogi. On the international stage, Japan stood out.
