The municipality of Gramado stood out in the Tourist Destination of Rio Grande do Sul category at the 28th edition of the Marcas de Quem Decide survey, being named the most remembered and preferred destination in Rio Grande do Sul. The award is promoted by Jornal do Comércio, and the ceremony took place this Tuesday (3) at the Hall of Events of the Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Rio Grande do Sul.
The distinction was received by Deputy Mayor Luia Barbacovi, who highlighted the importance of the recognition for the municipality, which welcomed around eight million tourists throughout 2025. According to him, the award reinforces that the city is on the right path, while also increasing the responsibility to maintain excellence.
“Receiving this award gives us the reassurance that we are carrying out solid work, but it also strengthens our commitment to continue evolving so that we can win this distinction again next year,” he stated.
A Safe and Reliable Destination
Among Gramado’s distinguishing features, the deputy mayor emphasized its well-established tourism infrastructure, with a wide range of hotels and theme parks, in addition to ongoing investments in public safety and infrastructure.
According to Barbacovi, the ease and safety of moving around the city is one of the key factors behind visitors’ positive experiences. “We offer a great variety of parks, hotels frequently recognized among the best in Brazil and South America, as well as well-equipped security forces and continuously improving infrastructure. This set of actions contributes to making Gramado a safe and reliable destination for our tourists,” he emphasized.
The recognition consolidates Gramado as one of the leading references in tourism in Rio Grande do Sul and reinforces its prominent position at both the state and national levels.
