Festuris - Gramado International Tourism Trade Show - has just announced two important panelists for the Festuris Meeting Stage, the content area that brings together great leaders and thinkers in the sector. In 2025, the event will once again focus on inspiring voices and transformative trajectories to provoke reflections on the present and future of tourism. The approach of both will be “Tourism of Tomorrow - Perspectives for the Sustainable Development of Tourist Destinations.” Tickets are already on sale on the official website.
Among the confirmed names are Leônidas Oliveira, current Secretary of State for Culture and Tourism of Minas Gerais, and Ronaldo Santini, state representative and Secretary of Tourism of Rio Grande do Sul. Their stories, although different, converge in their commitment to the appreciation of heritage, territorial development, and the construction of public policies that promote tourism as a vector of identity, income, and innovation.
Leônidas Oliveira, from São Gotardo, Minas Gerais, is an architect, art historian, and a scholar passionate about the relationship between culture and urban space. With a PhD in architectural theory from the University of Valladolid and a specialization in heritage restoration from the University of Alcalá de Henares, both in Spain, Leônidas combines academic knowledge with extensive experience in public management. He has chaired Belotur, the Municipal Culture Foundation of Belo Horizonte, Funarte, and even Embratur. Since 2020, he has led the integration of culture and tourism in Minas Gerais, transforming the state into a benchmark for the appreciation of memory, art, and hospitality.
Ronaldo Santini, in turn, brings the experience of someone who knows firsthand the challenges of public management and political coordination. With a degree in law, Santini is a former federal deputy and is currently serving his third term as a state deputy. At the helm of the Rio Grande do Sul Department of Tourism, he has also headed the Department of Rural Development and the Department of Political and Administrative Management Support. His work has been marked by the search for synergies between tourism, local production, and regional development, with an emphasis on promoting the interior and strengthening production chains.
The presence of Leônidas Oliveira and Ronaldo Santini at the Festuris Meeting promises to spark powerful debates on the role of public management, culture, and politics in the consolidation of sustainable, creative tourist destinations connected to communities.
